Daily Devotion

Jeremiah 1: 5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I seperated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. NIV

Here, God is telling Jeremiah not to be afraid of the calling on his life just because he is a little boy. He knew exactly what He wanted to do with Jeremiah before he was born! How great God is that he knew these things even before we knew ourselves. I believe God lets us know not to be afraid no matter how old or young we may be to achieve great things! There is also faith encouragement to Jeremiah in the chapter. We need to be mindful that God will NEVER let us fail so take challenges knowing He will be with us every step of the way.

Was there ever a time when you felt like God had you do someting but you didnt't because you were afraid and felt you weren't qualified?

Be Blessed Everyone!

Sunday Inspiration

Hello Everyone! This week's message is coming from 1 Timothy 2:1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people NIV. We reviewed this in Sunday School and thought it would be great to share. We know that by reading this scripture it tells us that we should pray for everyone. Ever heard of selfish prayer? Believe it or not, it does exist and can keep us from recieving the special blessings God has in store for us. This type of prayer can exist in coporate worship or even at home. Sometimes we are so busy praying for ourselves and our family, we forget about others that need prayer more than anything! So, YES we should pray for EVERYONE, including our ENEMIES!To some it may seem strange and to others there isn't a problem. So, think about how much your walk can be strengthened in doing this one simple request of God. He connects us in a way that is so mind blowing and these prayers can affect someone acroos the world! This week, we challenge you to pray for someone that may be difficult for you to love respect. Have a blessed week everyone!

Daily Devotion: Explaining the Word

Acts 8:27-31
27 So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopianeunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means “queen of the Ethiopians”). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship,
28 and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah the prophet.
29 The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.”
30 Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked.
31 “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

In reading these verses, my impression of Philip is that he is a person who listens and isn't afraid to help others. He knows the word and is willing to explain it it if it means telling of the good works of Jesus. I believe it is important to have someone in our lives like this to help understand the bible because it gives us clarity. We can talk, write down our thiughts and do research. The person I have in my life to do this with me is my husband. We both help each other out with breaking down scriptures and doin research of when, how, where and what. It's fun and refreashing to have him do this with me and it draws us nearer to God so he can manifest in our lives! Be Blessed EVERYONE!

Why is it important to you to have someone inyour life to talk to about the bible?
Who is this special person?

Daily Devotion

Psalm 119:27.....Make me understand the way of Your precepts; so shall I meditate on and talk of Your wonderous works! AMP
Here, David has a desire to understand God's direction so that he can live his life the way God wants him to and by learning these things, he can be an evangelist of the gospel. It is our goal as the believer to learn the ways of God and tell of His works. He wants nothing but the best from us just like a teacher desires of their students. God wants us to live properous, clean and healthy lives.

How would it affect your life if you had a better understanding of God?
